Are You Going For Final Interviews? Here Are 3 Things You Must Do

Hello, welcome back it’s Knight Khonje your APC Coach,
What I briefly wanted to do is to talk you through some of the things that you can do in advance now in preparation for these online final assessment interviews.
Moving forward, all interviews are going to take place online.
Here are 3 things you can do in advance of the interview.
  1.  Interview Location –
First, choose a place in a home where you’re going to take the interview. Make sure that in this room you are not disturbed at anytime. Make sure that the backgrounds are what you are happy with. You are effectively inviting the panel to this room.
  2. The Equipment –
The next thing that you need to look at in terms of preparation is the equipment. What you need is to have a laptop or a desktop. An iPhone is not recommended because the screen is very small. An iPad could work, but then again, it’s actually the positioning where you might have some challenges. Also get yourself a headsets. What I would recommend is you have the headsets with microphone and the connection should be some sort of a jack in type or USB. These are more reliable than the WiFi or the Bluetooth ones.
  3. Visual Aids –
The third that you need to do in terms of your preparation is the visual aids. In the past, when you have done or when people have done Face-To-Face interviews, people have brought in some visual aids where they’ve got some flip charts or some presentation aids that are placed on the desktop.
In this case, you won’t to have the advantage of the desktop.
Note:
In session 1, you were not allowed to do any slide share. This option is now available to you, but remember only to use aids and props that you are proficient in!
I have summarized the advance preparation that you can do and avoid last minute panic in a short video for you.
