Success x factors – Personal Development

Hello, welcome back!

Let’s look at some Success Factors, what makes the difference. You might come across, some people they have the same knowledge based on the fact that possibly they attended the same College or University and possibly they have got the same type of skills because of the job type that they’re working on. Yet you find that one person is more successful than another person. What makes the difference?

OK, let me just explain. So what you have is – at University or College, they get the knowledge and on this job they get these skills. What makes the difference is the amount of personal development that they engage in.

So the more you engage in personal development – by this, I’m talking about possibly developing more of your technical skills. It could be that you’re engaging in other skills like how to be more productive. Some other skills like time management. So what it means – is that you become more efficient.

So the success equation goes this way. You have got these skills, which are the skills that you have and plus the knowledge that you have. These two multiplied by personal development, gives you the success.

So as you can see, personal development is a multiplier. So what you can have, for example, you can have two people on as far as knowledge is consent or knowledge side of things. One might actually be a six out of ten. Another one on here, this one might be, this is seven out of ten. But the personal development let say eight so because of that multiplier, if you differentiate two people, what happens is that the one that has good that as a bigger factor, although these two might be the same, it means that one who has got more of personal development is going to be more successful.

And you find that this personal development issue is something that great achievers take very seriously. What you find is that top people or top achievers, they are always in this mastermind groups. We have to keep on engaging with other people at a top level or people who aspire to be at the top level. And that’s how they actually keep on winning or keep on being successful. And they continually challenged themselves. So my friend, in order to continue to be successful, what do you need to do is take this very seriously, the Personal Development. Because that is the multiplier that makes the difference.
