What I wanted to do was just quickly take you through what I’ve been working on, which is doing some audits of some professional assessment for the RICS. And one of the things that has taken place is that in terms of the audits, what I’m doing is making sure that there’s consistency between assessment panels. But for you as a candidate, there’s something which has been observed that might be of use to you.
During this session, the number of applicants has gone up 15% and there are two reasons for that.
The first reason is that during session one some candidates thought that the online assessment was a temporary measure and that the Face-To-Face to come interviews would be back.
But it so happens that the RICS has changed the whole procedure, that now we’re only going to be having online interviews. So that’s the first reason for the increase.
The second reason for the increase is that some people have realised that because of where we are. With the COVID-19 or corona virus situation, They need to upskill to have the skills so that they can cope up with the challenges of the future. And one way of doing that is that you get the necessary professional qualifications that equip you to go ahead and deal with the issues that are going to arise after this issue about the Corona virus and COVID-19 is over.
The world needs some solutions to these problems that have been created during this era of Corona virus, COVID-19. You need to be part of that solution. So one way of doing it is get the necessary skills so that you can deal with that situation.
You can be part of the solution rather than complaining about the problem.
